In this post, I would like to state the importance of having holidays. These are the reasons why I believe holidays are beneficial for you and your business:

  • Getting away: When we work several hours in the same topic, we get biased and it becomes tougher to find a solution. The best way to deal with it is to leave the task and come back later. Holidays are basically a longer rest where we remove all our biases. When we come back, we do with more ideas and energy. Getting away also helps creativity.
  • Recharge batteries: Relax, relax and relax. If you want to work with eagerness, you should get away and recharge batteries. Come back stronger.
  • Family & Friends: We are usually too busy to spend the time we wish with the people we are happy with. Therefore, vacation is the perfect time to reconcile with those you love.
  • Remember you have a life: Often, we assume our job is our life but we are much more than that. Our job does not define us, it represents a big part of our life though. Holidays remind us we have hobbies, we have interests, we are not just our job. Enjoy life.
